Community Guidelines — read before you post
Welcome to the Fulcrum Community. This forum is for Fulcrum Acoustic users to ask questions, share field experience, and help each other design and deploy better systems.
Before you post or reply, please read the guidelines below. They keep the community useful, respectful, and worth coming back to.
What this community is for
- Asking questions about Fulcrum products, workflows, and real-world deployments
- Sharing experience from the field — what worked, what didn’t, and what you’d do differently
- Helping others when you have relevant knowledge, even if you’re not on the Fulcrum team
- Discussing system design — loudspeaker selection, processing, immersive, installs, touring, and related topics
This is a user community, not a replacement for official support. For urgent production issues or warranty/service needs, use your normal Fulcrum support channels.
How to participate
Start a thread when you have a question or topic that could benefit others, not just you. Choose the category that best fits:
- Fulcrum One — workflow, features, project setup, and day-to-day software usage
- System Design — acoustic planning, venue modeling, coverage, and system architecture
- Loudspeakers — model selection, placement, rigging, and configuration
- Processing and Driveflex — signal processing, presets, tuning, and control
- Immersive — object-based mixing, active acoustics, and immersive system design
- General — announcements, meta discussion, and topics that don’t fit elsewhere
Reply when you can add something concrete: an answer, a workaround, a comparable experience, or a clarifying question.
Follow threads you care about so you can stay in the loop when new replies are posted.
Accepted answers. When a reply clearly and fully answers a question, Fulcrum moderators may mark it as the accepted answer. That highlights the best solution at the top of the thread for everyone who finds it later. You don’t need to do anything special — just post a helpful reply if you can.
How to write a good post
Include enough context that someone can actually help:
- Product / version — e.g. Fulcrum One version, Driveflex firmware, loudspeaker models
- Use case — venue type, audience size, indoor/outdoor, fixed install vs touring
- What you’ve tried — steps taken, screenshots, error messages, or relevant settings
- Your goal — what you’re trying to accomplish, not just the symptom
A few practical habits:
- Search first — your question may already have been discussed
- One main question per thread — keeps the discussion focused and easier to follow
- Use a clear title — specific titles get better responses than “Help needed” or “Question”
- Follow up — if a reply helps, say so; if it doesn’t, explain what’s still missing
Community guidelines
Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people. No personal attacks, harassment, baiting, or pile-ons.
Be constructive. Critique is welcome when it’s specific and aimed at solving the problem. Low-effort negativity doesn’t help anyone.
Stay on topic. Keep threads focused on the question or discussion at hand. Don’t hijack threads with unrelated debates.
Share honestly. Distinguish between what you’ve done in the field and what you’re guessing. Both can be useful if you’re clear about which is which.
Protect privacy. Do not post client names, confidential venue details, credentials, serial numbers, internal documents, or other sensitive information. When in doubt, leave it out.
No spam or self-promotion. Don’t use the community for unsolicited advertising, repeated link-dropping, or off-topic promotion.
No abuse of the platform. Don’t post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional community.
Assume good intent. Most people are here to learn. Give others the benefit of the doubt unless a pattern says otherwise.
What happens when guidelines are broken
If you see a post or reply that violates these guidelines, use Report this post and briefly explain why. Moderators review reported content and may hide posts, lock threads, or take other action as needed.
Repeated or serious violations may result in restricted access to the community.
Moderators may also pin important threads, lock threads that have run their course or gone off the rails, and mark accepted answers when a reply is the clearest solution.
A note on answers
Replies in this community come from other users and community members. Unless clearly identified otherwise, they do not represent official Fulcrum Acoustic guidance. Use your judgment, and verify critical decisions through appropriate channels when needed.
Your turn
If you’d like, introduce yourself below: what you do, what kinds of systems you work on, and what brought you here.
Then browse the categories, ask a question, or help someone else get unstuck.
Thanks for helping make this a community worth participating in.
